Founded by Shedonna (“Ess”) Martin, EMFS was created to support drivers who value consistency, clear communication, and freight that makes sense — not volume for volume’s sake. We work intentionally, starting with select driver partnerships, so every relationship receives focused attention and respect.

Our approach is pro-driver and data-driven. We rely on real-time market analysis, lane trends, and negotiation strategy to support drivers in making informed decisions on the loads they choose to run.

With over 30 years in education as a high school English teacher, sponsor, and advisor, I built a career grounded in communication, organization, problem-solving, and advocacy. Those same skills now guide my work in freight dispatching—coordinating details, managing timelines, and supporting people who rely on consistency and follow-through. Retiring from education to care for my father marked a meaningful transition in my life and opened the door to doing something different—work that continues to serve others in a practical, hands-on way. EMFS Logistics was created from that desire: to support independent carriers with clear communication, dependable dispatching, and a genuine commitment to helping them succeed.
